MSEC offers a state and federal posters service to our members, which includes the option of joining our annual Update Service subscription. With an Update Service subscription for each of your locations, MSEC monitors mandatory changes and automatically sends each location the latest required poster whenever a labor-law posting change takes place. By utilizing the Update Service, employers never again have to worry about whether their federal and state posters are up-to-date.
Two such mandatory updates where required this summer by the Department of Labor when it released revised versions of the Federal Minimum Wage and the Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA) posters. Both of these changes took effect on August 1, 2016. The Federal Minimum Wage poster includes a new section about the rights of nursing mothers to receive reasonable break time to express breast milk. The EPPA poster removed the civil penalty limit of $10,000 from the poster, changed the toll-free phone number, and added a TTY phone number. As these two update are considered mandatory by the DOL, new Federal posters have automatically be sent out to all of our members who have an Update Service subscription.
